'Stranger Things' parade takes place this Sunday with Vecna and Xuxa in attendance!
São Paulo, Brazil - Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral, on the side of Ibirapuera Park in São Paulo, became the portal to the Inverted World this Sunday, November 23. The "Stranger Things Parade", a grand themed parade promoted by Netflix, celebrates the success of "Stranger Things" and marks the countdown to the premiere of the fifth and final season of the series. The event, which is part of a global farewell tour, attracted thousands of fans with free access.
The highlight of the celebration, which officially starts at 5.30pm, is the confirmed presence of two great personalities. British actor Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays the villain Vecna/Henry Creel, is in Brazil to interact with the public. As well as the international star, Xuxa Meneghel, the "Queen of the Little Ones", is also taking part in the parade in an unusual double act that has generated a lot of buzz on social media. The Parade is divided into four acts, revisiting iconic moments and symbols from each season that consolidated the production as a pop culture phenomenon.
For those planning to attend, the gates opened at 3.30pm, with the organizers recommending early arrival, as entry is on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to capacity. The age rating for the event is 16, but minors can take part as long as they are accompanied by their parents or legal guardians and present the duly completed responsibility form.
Fan Impact and Final Countdown
This event is not just a nostalgic celebration; it acts as the final warm-up for the series' epic finale. The fifth and final season of "Stranger Things" will have a split release, with the first part, Volume 1 (four episodes), arriving on the streaming platform on November 26. Following that, Volume 2 (three episodes) will be released on Christmas Day, December 25, and the final episode, which concludes the Hawkins saga once and for all, will premiere on New Year's Eve, December 31. All volumes will be available at 10pm Brasília time.
Jamie Campbell Bower's presence is especially significant, given Vecna's importance as the main threat of the final season, promising a final confrontation that is being suggested as the most violent in the series. "Parada Estranha" thus serves as an exciting and necessary bridge between the series' past and the great battle to come, reinforcing the bond between the production and its fervent Brazilian fan base.
